Those who are in Christ are not only LIVING in but PARTICIPATING in a largely UNSEEN SPIRITUAL WAR that we are unable to ENDURE without the divine EMPOWERMENT of the God who loves us.

A great CONSOLATION to believers in the midst of TRIBULATION is two-fold: It will unwittingly AID their SANCTIFICATION and it will go NO FURTHER than God ALLOWS.

As believers, we are called to REMAIN faithfully OBEDIENT in our RESPONSIBILITIES even when God’s PLANS seem UNCLEAR or CONFUSING to us.

Like Daniel, our spiritual GROWTH and UNDERSTANDING of God’s will DEEPEN as we CONSISTENTLY SEEK Him through His WORD and DESPERATE PRAYER.

God HEARS and RESPONDS to the PRAYERS of His people out of His great LOVE for us, providing HOPE and DIRECTION when we call on Him.

As partakers of the New COVENANT, we have the PRIVILEGE of LIVING with the CERTAINTY of Christ’s FINISHED WORK of redemption that we know is bringing an ultimate end to SIN, DEATH and the DEVIL!

Over and ABOVE all of the EVIL powers at work in human history, we have a SOVEREIGN GOD who is in CONTROL and who will bring perfect JUDGEMENT to pass.

FATHERS are a BLESSING to their children if they are willing to SEE it - either as MODELS to EMULATE, or as EXAMPLES to AVOID. Often, they are BOTH - teaching us through their successes and failures.

We ALL have precious VESSELS of God under our STEWARDSHIP - the question is HOW we will USE them.

There are invisible SPIRITUAL REALITIES that must be understood and ACCEPTED not only for an accurate WORLDVIEW but also for a right RELATIONSHIP with the GOD who made the WORLD. (And deep down, we ALL know it.)

The PRIDE of unrepentant SIN leads people to do stupid, crazy, ANIMALISTIC things, bringing their lives to SPIRITUAL and sometimes PHYSICAL RUIN.

God will MERCIFULLY ALLOW His people to HIT ROCK-BOTTOM in this life if that is what it takes for them to REPENT and HUMBLE themselves before Him.

[v.8-18] If Christians are going to faithfully REFUSE to bow to idols, there may come a time where they must STAND ALONE and be WILLING to DIE.
